Dr. Zimmerman received her bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2010. She went on to graduate from the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 2015, obtaining her DDS degree. Following dental school, she completed a one-year advanced education in general dentistry program at ECU in Ahoskie, NC. In the program, she worked under many dental specialists to improve her skills and knowledge in all aspects of dentistry. Dr. Zimmerman loves dentistry and interacting with patients. She is passionate about educating patients regarding their oral health and working with them to achieve a beautiful and healthy smile.

Dr. Batten was raised in Smithfield, NC. He received his bachelor’s degree in human biology with a minor in psychology from NC State University. After college, he taught 7th grade science for one year before entering dental school. He later obtained his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from East Carolina University. Dr. Batten is passionate about dental care and providing excellent dental care to all. His most enjoyable part of dentistry is getting to know his patients and helping them achieve better smiles. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the North Carolina Dental Society. Dr. Batten is an avid sports fan in general, but really enjoys soccer and football. His hobbies include traveling, reading, and hiking.
