What Are Dental Implants?

Abutment placement- An abutment is a connector piece that attaches the implant crown to the titanium screw.
Crown placement- After a healing period, a custom-made crown is designed and then connected to the titanium screw.

The disadvantage is if one of the supporting teeth breaks or develops decay, the entire bridge will need to be removed and replaced. Dental bridges are durable; however, the average lifespan is 10-15 years.
Removable
Partials and dentures are removable appliances that are designed to replace some or all missing teeth. Removable appliances can be very frustrating and leave patients feeling uncomfortable and insecure. They can restrict the ability to eat and speak and often require messy adhesives to prevent clicking or slipping.

Am I a Candidate for Dental Implants?

How It Works
